Well done to Lauren, Rebecca, Nikita, Gareth, Ryan and Alex who all entered the Welsh National Mini Mon on May 24th and all came away with medals. Lauren took Bronze in the Kyu grade competition despite beating the gold medallist!!.
Rebecca fought extremely well and took a Silver medal.
Gareth took a well deserved gold medal, despite losing his first fight he came back strongly and beat all four of his other opponents within 30 seconds. Well done Gareth.
Ryan also took a gold Medal in his category easily defeating his opponents in quick succession, he also fancied his chances in the weight and grade category above, but unfortunately his opponent proved too strong for him, Ryan has now decided to learn to walk before he runs!!!!
Young Alex had a tough task as her weight group was combined with the group above, which meant she was by far the smallest in the group, Alex showed a great deal of determination, giving away size, age, and grade advantage to the other girls, she fought extremely well and gave all the girls a tough time, and even managed to beat 1 of the bigger girls in extra time. Congratulations Alex on your gold medal.
Nikita also did well in her first competition taking a Gold medal in her category.

The Welsh National Mini Mon medallists 6 entries and 6 medals well done all.
